Pet Care Challenge
Each year, 3.9 million experience homelessness in the United States, according to the National Coalition for the Homeless. We estimate that 10-30% of homeless people have pets, many of which are service animals. The need for veterinary care is greatest when a pet is injured or sick. 54% of dog owners regret having a dog, many dog owners cannot afford vet bills.
Pet Care Solution
Our non-profit organization is important to people experiencing homelessness who need veterinary care for their companion pets when they are sick or injured. In some cases, the homeless survive on the daily responsibility of pet care. There is scientific evidence showing that animals are good for us. From depression and PTSD to heart health and autism, the human-animal bond has a powerful and measurable impact on people’s lives.
Pet Care Long-term impact
Every day we receive Messages and calls to end the pain and suffering of pets belonging to the homeless. Many online users also request us to develop website content and tools. One Pet at a Time: We strive to reunite healthy, pain-free pets with their homeless guardians. By doing so, we also keep communities safe from disease. We keep alive the bond of animal/human love with your donation. Your support will be used for dog lovers.
